Happy Monday. I thought I'd start out the day with a highlight from my weekend. I bought this marinated feta at the farmer's market on Saturday, and wow is it delicious.
This isn't your normal feta made with cow's milk, but a goat milk feta marinated in olive oil, rosemary, red pepper flakes, and cracked pepper from this local farm. Are you salivating yet? This salty cheese was perfect smeared across a slice of Prodigal Farm's walnut loaf with tomato, diced into a cucumber salad and crumbled over spinach. Any other feta lovers out there? Hope you had a great weekend.

Deja vu of sorts... my fiancée and I were visiting friends in Raleigh this weekend, and sampled this yesterday at the NC State Farmers Market. Is that where you were? Such a great market.
As for the cheese, I loved how the feta practically melted in my mouth. The flavors so vibrant. We bought a small goat brie from her; next time the marinated feta!
Cheers,

Hi squirrelbread! I bought this at the North Hills market on Saturday. Not sure if they're at the big state market, but maybe they are. Excellent cheeses, cheesecakes and bread. I love anything with goat cheese :)
I love feta so much and this one looks extra tasty. It must have been beautiful with the bread!
